01 Plan B - mi vecinita
Achja, zur Premiere gleich mal Reggaeton. Dämlich und generisch wie das Genre halt so ist, aber ich kann davon abgesehen nichts besonders Gutes oder Schlechtes an dem Track finden.

02 The Notorious B.I.G. - me & my b*tch
B.I.G.s Debütalbum in der remastered Version, auch ganz okay. Kein Meisterwerk, aber ein gefälliger Flow.

03 Megan Davies - all i ever want is you
Also jetzt gehts aber los - eine Singer-Songwriter-Tante, von der ich noch nie gehört hab, und dann ist der Song gar nicht so schlecht. Ich mein, niemand braucht solche Lieder eigentlich, aber ja, kann man so lassen.

04 Macka B - medical marijuana card
Um jetzt die Genres, mit denen ich selten was anfangen kann, noch abzuschließen, gibt es den Reggae von Macka B. Gibt sicher Aufregenderes, aber naja, geht so. Wenn jetzt ein Musical-Song kommt dann schreie ich.

05 Vincent & A Secret - limitation
Pianogeklimper, das vielleicht für "ganz tiefgehende, ganz echte" romantische Filme komponiert wurde, bei denen das Drehbuch mehr als eine Woche gedauert hat.

06 Allure - all cried out
90er R&B, der so klingt, wie ich mir Sunny Hostins Ehe vorstelle (und ich mag Sunny, aber trotzdem). Eine Komposition für den Hugo mit Gesang, der kompetent ist, aber weit entfernt von einer "tollen Stimme".

07 Bonez MC feat. Hanybal93 - hauptsache laut
Naja, bei Ansicht des Covers fürchtet man sich schonmal bis ans Ende der Stadtgrenze, dann ist es aber halb so schlimm. Ernst meinen tun sie das ja offensichtlich auch nicht, was schonmal gut ist. Deutscher Gangsta Hip Hop mit bizarren Vocals, sauberer Instrumentierung, einem Augenzwinkern.

08 Chaos Chaos - my hands
Electropop, der etwas zerbrechlicher klingt, als mir lieb ist, sonst aber ganz gut über die Ziellinie hopst.

09 Eminem feat. Nate Dogg - 'till i collapse
2002 war Eminem noch voll im Geschäft, auch wenn die früher endlos scheinende Kreativität schon etwas müde geworden war. Ich hab seine Schrei-Raps nie gemocht, hier ist es auch so, Nate klingt so angenehm im Vergleich. Der Song ist aber okay.

10 Katy B feat. Ms. Dynamite - lights on (single mix)
Ach Ms. Dynamite, nette Rotznasen-Raps. Der Track ist flotter Pop mit Dance-House-Attitüde, gute Sache.

11 Missy Elliott - get ur freak on
Au ja, endlich was, das ich kenne. Total schräger Hip Hop-Song (das, was wir hier alle so cool und fremd finden, sind übrigens Bhangra-Sounds), ziemlich super. Was macht Missy eigentlich so these days?

12 Little Comets - b & b
Das könnte auf dem Soundtrack von so einem "Jugendliche finden den Sinn des Lebens, dann aber doch nicht, und bleiben Freunde"-Film sein. Sehr britisch, klingt wie die Indie-Variante von 'i'm gonna be 500 miles'.

13 Bela B. - tag für sieger
Ziemlich dünne Angelegenheit, so ein Western-Pop-Rock-Track mit lauter Schlagermelodien. Braucht niemand. Scheint auch im Studio vermurkst worden zu sein, die Spotify-Version (vom "Teufelskicker"-Soundtrack) klingt jedenfalls clippy und total aufgebläht.

14 Johann Sebastian Bach - partita no. 4 in d major, bwv 828: v. sarabande
Richard Egarr am Cembalo, eine helle, positive Tasse Tee am Sonntagvormittag.



Ich hab viel über "using Spotify randomly" gelesen, und alles sprach für eine schlechte Ausgangslage - die allermeisten Kommentare sagten sinngemäß "Du wirst dann schon sehen, wieviel grottenschlechte Musik es auf Spotify gibt". Zusätzlich gab es noch den Tipp, Karaokeversionen in der Suche wegzulassen, weil du dir sonst den ganzen Abend eine jämmerliche Karaokeversion nach der anderen geben kannst.

Letzteres hab ich erfolgreich gemacht, ersteres kann ich nicht unterschreiben - die 14 zufällig ausgewählten Songs waren alle nicht so schlimm, cool war Missy Elliotts Track, den ich natürlich schon kannte, und auch Katy B hat ihre Single sehr gekonnt durch die Kopfhörer geschickt.

Ich glaube, SpoToday hat Zukunft.
