s07e01 - Trials and Tribulations
Interesting premise, but in the end not all that interesting, notable exception is the ending, which really delivers. [DECENT]
s07e02 - Deadly Misunderstanding
Pretty twisted story which is fun to follow. You just constantly want to slap Jeff for not seeing the screamingly obvious manipulation he's subjected to. But yeah, men. [GOOD]
s07e03 - See You In Court, Baby
No thank you, Dennis. (Skipped)
s07e04 - Hannigan's Wake
Thinking objectively I cannot find much wrong with it, but it's not that entertaining in the end. Lots of darkness in this one. [DECENT]
s07e05 - The Family Jewels
Loved Brenda Vaccaro in this, and it's a cool story. Jessica "being a gossip" and not able to let go is pretty likeable. Yeah OK, there is "crisp bread" Drew Boring (sic), and that pushover lieutenant, but at the same time it has the classic daytime TV italo name of "Rocco Pastolino", so you gotta love it. [GREAT]
s07e06 - A Body to Die For
I'm gonna say that an Eve Simpson episode cannot go wrong, and this one was no exception. I also like, I think, the portrayal of "tiny village" problems such as being stuck in a marriage, boredom (and therefore a reasonably attractive fitness coach already turning the place upside down), and total lack of anonymity - whether you are in someone's car or house or office, the whole town's gonna know. [GOOD]
s07e07 - The Return of Preston Giles
This is a highly praised episode and while it is by no means bad, I don't quite like it that much. The whole thing is very dark and troubled, nobody has any fun. The permanently pained look on Giles' face is really dragging me down. [DECENT]
s07e08 - The Great Twain Robbery
... is a bookend episode [skipped]
s07e09 - Ballad for a Blue Lady
This one actually blew me away a bit - the fucking ending!! I didn't think I would, but I loved the Country setting. A few people have commented how horrible Florence Henderson's accent is, but I'm gonna say that this is on purpose - the daughter in law did point out as much, too. [GREAT]
s07e10 - Murder in F Sharp
Skipped, bookend episode.
