It is worse to be sick and to watch something on TV, and to hear a song you really like. So far, this is not bad. You go online and want to know what that song was.
Faithful readers of this blog - that would be just you, Sacrifi-sir : ) - will recognize this pattern from here. This is not worse than being sick.
Equally to back then, I know there is at least one, probably more, websites that list the music that was used in the L Word episodes. So I go there, look for the episode, and I find it immediately:
Bette crying. End Credits. - Rachael Yamagata... The Other Side
How easy, how wonderful. So much better than being sick!
So I look for the song and listen to it. This doesn't sound like the one I wanted... I doublecheck with the episode, I check the lyrics - nope, not the song. Not even the same singer.
Well, surely many people will have posted this in the comments or other forums.
Guess what. They haven't. In every possible source it says that this is the song that was featured in the episode, and also on youtube people comment the tune and say "I love this song ever since I heard it on the L Word!". Have you???

After helplessly searching online and reading hundreds of posts that say that this is in fact the song that played while Bette cried, here are the only two possibilities of what has happened:
- When pressing the DVDs, Yamagata's song was replaced with another one which is by an unknown artist and was never released
- People are deaf and believe everything the internet tells them
As far as I know, both options seem likely.
And this would be even worse than being sick then.
